SCRIP Program

St. Joseph’s offers a comprehensive SCRIP program as a means to reduce the tuition costs for families.  The program is straight-forward: simply pre-purchase  gift cards to local and national merchants such as grocery stores, restaurants, retail shops, movie theaters, etc. and a percentage—at least 2.5% of your purchase—is applied to your account.   Another portion goes to the school, so your participation has a double benefit.

SJW SCRIP NEWS

· Please keep your yellow SCRIP envelope at home UNLESS you are placing an order

· Do NOT put any other forms of payment or notes to your child’s teacher in these envelopes.  These enveloped are ONLY used for ordering SCRIP.

·

St. Joseph’s maintains a comprehensive list of participating stores in the SCRIP program.   Click here to view the list.  Chances are, if you are going to a store, St. Joseph’s has a SCRIP card for it.

For instance, before the weekly grocery shopping trip, a family can go to the rectory during business hours and purchase a “gift” card of $100, for example, for their favorite grocery store.  The family receives a card that is accepted as payment at the grocery store as well  as a tuition credit of $2.50.  Over the year, the family will save $130 in tuition costs, just by grocery shopping!

Each month, a store is featured that offers more than the minimum 2.5% credit.  These stores are featured in the Sunday bulletin.

SCRIP is great for gifts, too—do your Christmas and birthday shopping at St. Joseph’s.  Get your friends and family to join you (they will need to identify your family as the recipient of the SCRIP credit when they purchase the SCRIP cards).  The savings will really add up!
