“We take good care of our students”

St. Joseph the Worker Catholic School

Updated November 11, 2008

Text Box: Thank you!
On Friday, October 3, 2008, more than 260 St. Joseph the Worker alumni and faculty got together for a night of reminiscing and rejoicing. About 100 people attended the Mass celebrated by the pastor, Fr. Donald Birch and concelebrated by Fr. John Foster. The crowd grew as attendees took a tour of the school building and gathered for refreshments in the school cafeteria.
When the doors opened to the parish hall, the facility was at full capacity. Attendees were the first to hear the announcement by State Representative and SJW graduate, John Galloway ‘73 of an impending state grant of $25,00 for St. Joseph the Worker. They were then treated to a brief home movie submitted by the Venne family of the construction of the church and school as well as the buildings’ dedication. This was followed by a 30 minute DVD of the history of the school compiled by Jerry Moore ‘71. This DVD is available for purchase in the rectory 215-945-4486 for $10 while quantities last.
By all accounts, a good time was had by all who attended the event and many commented that they would like to come back to St. Joe’s for even more events. Stay tuned to this page and we’ll keep you posted to any alumni happenings.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a big success!
